PAPA 14 World Pinball Championships August 11-14, 2011 Carnegie (Pittsburgh), Pennsylvania

Total Prize Package: $36,500!

PAPA is a players' organization devoted to promoting pinball as a form of recreation and competitive sport. PAPA sponsors international tournaments, operates the PAPA Advanced Rating System (PARS), and encourages the spread of the "pinball bug" from player to player.

PAPA 14 features six divisions of play, three of which are skill divisions. There is no official doubles play (except for mini-tournaments), and we do not have a separate Women's division. Women are capable players just like anyone else, and should enter in whichever division they choose!

The three skill divisions are designated A, B, and C. The C division is suitable for casual players, first-time competitors, and other novices. The B division is suitable for players with league or tournament experience, or anyone looking for a greater challenge and potential reward. The A division is for league or tournament champions and other world-class players.

The special divisions may be entered by any player who meets requirements, independent of entries in other divisions. The Juniors division is open to players 16 years of age or younger. The Seniors division is open to players 50 years of age or older. The Classics division is open to all players, and utilizes only pinball machines released at least 20 years before the date of the tournament; Classics will always include some electromechanical models.

Pinball Faith @ The Church of the Silver Ball Tournament Saturday April 30, 2011 Mississauga, Ontario

Pinball Faith was started by David Stein and the good folks at "Bumper City Amusements" in South Melbourne, Australia.

Right off the bat, we loved their logo and found what they were doing was similar to what we were doing. We contacted them and with their blessing, we are using their cool "Pinball Faith" logo. A couple of Saturday nights each month, we crank open the church's doors for an evening of pinball fun. No fumbling for quarters: Pay one price for unlimited game play.

16 and older: $10 Kids 6-15: $5 5 & under free

Pinburgh 2011: Match Play For All!

  • If you thought the next big PAPA tournament was coming August 11-14, 2011, you thought wrong. We are pleased to announce the new Pinburgh 2011 tournament, Match Play For All, being held at PAPA World Headquarters March 18-20, 2011.
  • This tournament introduces a unique match play concept that ensures every player is competing for at least two solid days, with no eliminations until the final day. The tournament structure has been developed by Bowen Kerins, former World Pinball Champion and all-around great guy. The structure of the tournament accommodates players of all skill levels, so please, don't be shy!
  • Pinburgh 2011 is a completely open event with a single registration fee ($100) that gives each player at least two full days of competition. As an added bonus, every $10 of tokens bought at registration will yield a $20 donation to charity!
  • There will be a custom, collectible token for Pinburgh attendees only; this ultra-rare token will be included in each roll of tokens sold at the event, but otherwise will not be put into circulation.
  • Click here to view/download the Pinburgh 2011 poster!
  • Pinburgh 2011: March 18-20, 2011
  • Online Registration Now Available
  • Players of all skill levels are welcome, as well as spectators. The tournament provides the opportunity for terrific competitive play, but everyone is also welcome to browse the machines, play practice games, meet other players, and watch the competition.
  • Hotel and travel details are available. Online pre-registration is now available!
  • Pre-registration is required, due to the match-play nature of the tournament. If an insufficient number of players register for the event, it will be cancelled and all funds returned. Even in this highly unlikely scenario, however, we would still open the facility for anyone who made travel plans! Spectators are also welcome, at no charge. Most non-tournament machines cost 2 tokens (50 cents) to play.
  • Remember, players of all skill levels are welcome and are eligible to win!
